Say Hello to Tulip

Medium: Walnut ink, Watercolor

Two years ago, I woke up from a dream with a simple fraise on my lips "Say Hello to Tulip".

It came from a dream I had about a starfish that decided to attach itself to an otter.

I struggled with the idea for several years trying to make it work. Until I had one of those moments and said, "I GOT IT!!"

Two Years ago

Two years ago, at the SCBWI Winter Conference I participated in a portfolio critique with "CB".

CB said, "I would love to know what goes on inside the Popcorn House."

Well, here you are Life got in the way and I had to take a pause, but I think it was worth the wait.

Cat & Fox PROMPT

Prompt possibility for SCBWI by Brain LaRossa,

"Leaning towards "draw a cat arguing with a fox in an orange kitchen." Why? 10 Stories = characters with feelings in places. 2) All the feelings can't be happy. 3) Making a fox pop against is tricky. 4) Kitchens are hard."

DAD part 2

My father passed away on March 12, 2023, this is the second piece of artwork I have done since his passing.

It reflects some of the journey I was involved in, Pinocchio is my dad the cards represent playing Scopa with my mom on Saturday nights. The little bird who hit my dad's window of his house and was then taken care of by my dad for a couple of dads.
